SC³ has grown from humble beginnings in Starkville, MS.  Although formed in 2002, product research started over 30 years ago.  John Campbell, the inventor of our After Shave (soon to be repackaged as Smooth!) Skin Therapy, worked with hair and skin as a master barber and barber instructor from a very young age.  Often hearing of men complain about their razor bumps and other shaving irritations, he embarked on a quest for a solution.  For more background on John Campbell, read "Day Dreaming on My Cotton Sack".

Twenty years of research gave him the understanding of the causes of skin irritations and their prevention.  The next five years were spent finding the right combination of natural ingredients that would not only prevent razor bumps, bikini bumps, razor burn, and other skin irritations, but would work with the body's natural oils to nurture the health of skin.  With four patents awarded, we can say, "Yes, It works!"

Brenda Thornton, CEO of SC³ LLC, met John while on a business trip to Starkville, MS in December of 2001.  SC3 LLC was formed in January 2002 to market Shaver’s Choice products. 

SC3 began with a single product, Shaver’s Choice.  With the addition of Vitamin E and Palm Kernel Oil, that original product is now known as Shaver’s Choice After Shave Skin Therapy (soon to be repackaged as Smooth! Skin
Therapy).  But a company that manufactures a single product has a very difficult time making a place on shelves in the mass market.   The SC3 team created a plan for a system that would work for any man or woman, of any skin type or skin tone, to eliminate shaving irritations such as razor bumps, bikini bumps, razor burn, itching and other irritations.

Shaver’s Choice Skin Therapy Shaving System products are now available through distributors on two continents, in salons and barbershops, spas, drugstores, grocery and discount stores.  Commitments from some of the largest retailers in the country will place Skin Therapy Shaving System on the shelves of stores near you.  The new packaging will see all products renamed:  Swipe! Cleansing Towelettes, Slick! Shave Gel, and Smooth! Skin Therapy.   If Shaver’s Choice is not available where you shop, ask the manager to order it from their distributor.  Your voice is important to make corporate buyers aware of their customers' desires.

Ladies, you will be pleased to know that we have removed the scent from Smooth for Ladies, and Silk Shave Gel will help you 'Beat the Bikini Bump Blues!'  Our future plans include a lotion for women and a splash pre-shave product for users of clippers and electric razors.
